Welcome to our hat making class!

If you're asking what can I do when I learn the basic pillbox? Look at this hat - it is a pillbox with a brim on top! The artistic way it floats is done by me. You can come up with your own design or use mine! This is your chance to build a pillbox hat from scratch for only $155.00 per class (cost of kit is included)! My promise is that when you leave my class you will be able to wear your hat that Sunday and show it off to your friends.

* The entry and payment to this class must be submitted on/before this date. The student must purchase the kit. The kit contains everything needed to complete the frame for the pillbox hat. The student must also bring ½ yd of the material of their choice as well as ½ yd of stiff lining material for the pillbox hat in class 1. The student must also bring 1½ yd of the material of their choice as well as ½ yd of stiff lining material for the pillbox hat in class 2. The student must also bring the items listed which will be used in future times for their own hat making needs.

Buckram Hat Kit - Everything you need to make your hat, except for the material you choose to make it, is in this kit.  Price: $30.00

Are you finally ready to learn to make your own hat? Tire of paying big bucks for your hats, or paying to repair them? Let's get to it! Build a buckram and wire framed hat in just two or three days! In additional classes learn how to create a pillbox with a brim, artistic avande gard hat, sun hat, etc. This skill will allow you to make other hats on your own to match any outfit!

You will receive instructions, your supplies (buckram, wire, needle, etc.)  for a total of $155.00 (class: $125 + Kit: $30) your hat making career will start. You will need to supply your own fabric and decorations (bows, trims, etc.) to match your hat. The kit is used to make the frame. You will need to bring 1/2 yard for the outer fabric of your choice and 1/2 yard of acetate lining (stiff lining) for Class 1. A basic sewing kit will also be needed (shears, pins, tape measure, thimble, tailor’s chalk).
